Every day, in France, thousands of lives are at stake, thousands of destinies hanging on a gesture of generosity: the donation of blood, platelets, or plasma. In this daily struggle for survival, one initiative stands out for its commitment and relentless mobilization: the Emblaqués.

Raise awareness to save

The French Blood Establishment is at the heart of the chain of solidarity which allows thousands of patients to continue to fight and hope for a cure. But to maintain this vital flow of donations, it is essential to raise awareness and mobilize the population. This is where the Implaqués come into play.

Athletes with big hearts

Carrying the same values ​​of commitment and generosity as those conveyed by donating blood, athletes are particularly receptive to the message of the Implaqués. The latter have chosen to develop their awareness-raising actions through major sporting events, such as the Paris Half-Marathon, but also other races and sporting events across the country.

Each year, no less than 5,000 runners participate in more than 700 sporting events where the Emlaqués are present, thus deploying their message to an ever-widening and diverse audience.

A concrete commitment

During the events in which they participate, the Implaqués deploy a multitude of concrete actions. They raise public awareness of the importance of different types of donations, collect pledges to donate platelets, plasma and whole blood, and raise funds from partners to finance medical research projects and hospital projects.

A ray of sunshine for hospitalized children

But the commitment of the Emplaqués goes beyond mobilizing for blood donations. They also do everything they can to bring comfort and hope to hospitalized children. By integrating them into the preparation of events and associating them with involved athletes, they offer moments of joy and distraction in their fight against illness.

Thanks to their funding, the Emplaqués organize around 10 outings per year for transfused children, thus offering them well-deserved moments of relaxation and happiness.

In addition, they also invested around €2,50,000 in sports projects funded in sports equipment for pediatric cancer hospital services, thus allowing sick children to practice physical activity and escape from hospital daily life.

Regular transfusions of platelets, a vital component of blood, are necessary to continue the fight against this disease and hope for a cure. With a shelf life of only 7 days, platelet donations must be constant to meet growing demand.

On average, 10,000 blood donations are needed every day in France to cover the needs of patients, highlighting the crucial importance of everyone's mobilization and generosity.
